About

I grew up having both sea and forest right at my doorstep so perhaps it was not far-fetched that nature would become my greatest inspiration. My Nordic heritage, with cultures strongly tied to the landscape and its seasons, certainly plays its part too.
In its many shapes nature makes its way into my artistic practice. Through the objects I make I try to understand, transmit, make sense and share the wonders I find. I am especially fascinated by colours, forms, patterns and details that make up both big and small; macro and micro in the genius designs of the natural world. Working intuitively with materials and often letting the process guide my work, I enjoy the possibilities that come with different materials. Anything from found objects, metals and fabric to paper and plastics makes its way into my work.
I tend to work in series and often a more commercial collection is developed from my exhibition work. I completed my BA of Visual Arts (Jewellery and Object) at University of Sydney, Australia.
